Oriental Sports Forum held in Pudong

The Oriental Sports Forum, organized by the Shanghai Sports Bureau, held its first lecture with a theme of "Cultivating Sports Event IP".

The Oriental Sports Forum held its first lecture at Pudong’s Oriental Sports Center on Wednesday.

With a theme of “Cultivating Sports Event IP,” the lecture attracted more than100 sports industry experts, insiders and officials. The lecture was given by Zhou Jin, general manager of Donghao Lansheng Event Management Co, the organizer of the annual Shanghai International Marathon.

Zhou shared with audience her event organizing experience, as well as her views on brand building and sports IP’s impact on the city. Guests who took part in the follow-up discussion included Chen Yiping, committee director of the Shanghai International Marathon; Yuan Yue, president of Zero Consulting Group and a former TV host; Lou Shifang, former general manager of Shanghai Shenhua Football Club.

Organized by the Shanghai Sports Bureau, the forum is a non-profit educational program, which aims at creating a communication and innovation platform for sport and education resources from society.

Experts from home and abroad will continue be invited to give lectures at the forum and take part in discussions on themes, including sports investment, management and marketing.
