Tickets for show-jumping event go on sale
Tickets for the 2018 Shanghai Longines Global Champions Tour are on sale.
The Shanghai leg of the five-star show jumping event will be held from April 20 to April 22 at the makeshift venue in front of the China Art Museum in Pudong. World-class riders will try to clear the highest 1.60-meter obstacle.
Temporary roofs will be added to all the stands this year to ensure that the spectators watch the competitions in a more comfortable environment, local organizer Juss Event said.
Previously, only the VIP stand was covered by a roof. To avoid direct sun exposure and possible rain, spectators in other stands would use umbrellas, discomforting those behind them, while possibly affecting the performance of the horses. The roofs are expected to solve those problems this year.
Tickets for this year’s event are available at www.jusstickets.com. Prices range from 380 yuan (US$60.3) to 670 yuan. Children have discounted prices of as low as 180 yuan.
Shanghai will be hosting the show jumping event for the fifth year. Last year, over 20,000 spectators turned up for the three-day event, which was described by LGCT President Jan Tops as the flagship event.
