Chuang Kai Ting of Chinese Taipei captured the inaugural ONE Championship Super Series kickboxing atomweight title after defeating Muay Thai world champion Yodcherry Sityodtong in a unanimous decision in Guangzhou, capital of southern Guangzhou Province, on Saturday.

The 23-year-old mixed martial artist, who originally learned boxing as a way to get a scholarship, became the first female titleholder in the ONE Super Series. In a joint main-bout of the night, Australia’s Reece McLaren bested two-time DEEP flyweight champion Tatsumitsu Wada of Japan in a split decision to solidify his standing as the division’s top contender. He has now set sights on a ONE flyweight world title bout.
