The 2018 IWWF Shanghai Cableski and Cable Wakeboard World Cup kicked off at the Bihaijinsha (Blue Sea and Golden Sand) Beach in Fengxian District on Monday, gathering more than 50 top wakeboard athletes from home and abroad.

The competition consists of two items, wakeboard and jump. Athletes from 25 countries and regions are competing at the Bihaijinsha Cable Park on Monday and Tuesday.

The competition, established in 2004, has taken place in countries such as France, England, Russia and Qatar, and it is the fourth time the beach resort has hosted the game.

The beach operator said the event provides a sports feast for tourists and promotes the integrated development of sports games and leisure tourism.
