Families enjoy 'Penguin Run Carnival' in Pudong
All set to start the proceedings during the "Penguin Run Carnival" at Century Park in Pudong New Area over the weekend.
More than 100 families took part in the inaugural “Penguin Run Carnival” at Pudong’s Century Park over the weekend.
Organized by Tencent Sports, the carnival set four steeplechase competitions on Saturday and Sunday. The young participants had to cooperate with their parents to overcome obstacles and complete the route.
The carnival was one of the first batch of city-level family competitions to be held following the resumption of sports activities in the aftermath of the novel coronavirus outbreak. Anti-pandemic requirements, including temperature inspection and periodic sterilization, were strictly followed.
Interactive games and stage dramas were arranged at the finish line. Singer Hu Xia and actress Li Yitong also attended the two-day event and presented performances to cheer the families.
For those failed to register for the event, the organizers held an online carnival during which children were invited to take part in online sports and environmental protection knowledge quiz with their parents.
Children enjoy some fun time at the carnival.
