A video showing an elderly man in Fujian bowing to a driver at a pedestrian crossing has touched the hearts of Chinese netizens. The incident happened on July 27.

Dash-cam footage shows the car stopping at a zebra crossing for an elderly man who was walking with the aid of a crutch.

Then the elderly man unexpectedly takes off his hat and bows to thank the driver.

It's been reported that the man bowed on about three occasions that day.

Chinese netizens applauded the driver for his courtesy and were greatly moved by the elderly man's way of expressing his gratitude, since they noted that most drivers in China will not yield at pedestrian crossings. 

Someone commented that the elderly man must be highly educated, while another said a grateful heart can be used as a pass card anywhere.
