Kindy principal detained after cramming 35 kids into small van

Traffic police in Lingshou County of north China's Hebei Province carried out a raid on vehicles carrying children on Tuesday morning, garnering shocking results.

They stopped a van about 8am and found a total of 37 people aboard, including 35 kids, the driver and a teacher.

The vehicle, which belongs to a kindergarten, had a registered capacity of 5 people. Today's precious cargo represented overloading by 640 percent, police said.

Later, the 35 children were safely taken to kindergarten thanks to vehicles organized by police.

The driver, also the principal of the kindergarten, was detained for suspected dangerous driving.
