Old man whips security guard who discourages him from spinning top

An old man spinning a top as a form of exercise whipped a security guard who told him to stop, leaving blood stains on his legs.

The crazy incident, which took place in a residential complex in Ankang City of Shaanxi Province on September 14, was caught on video and uploaded to the internet.

The square where the incident took place is bustling with people and located next to a kindergarten. A security guard told the old man he could either move to another location or come back at another time after several residents complained. The spinning top was quite loud, and some were worried it might cause injury.

However, the man continued unabated, refusing to keep away from the guard standing in front of him. The guard’s socks were torn by the whip, and police soon arrived on the scene.

The police criticized and educated the old man, whose children apologized to the security guard.
