Passersby help return old man's lost pension

An old man had a surprise happy ending after some honest passersby collected and returned 1,700 yuan (US$256) that had blown out of his jacket pocket.

As security footage shows, a large wad of the man's pension slipped out of his jacket pocket and began to blow around in the wind, just 20 to 30 meters from a bank in Dalian of north China's Liaoning Province.

Luckily an honest sanitation worker and another passer-by soon happened upon the cash, collecting every note from the ground.

The pair began looking for the owner, who by that stage had already wandered off.

The man, surnamed Li, rushed to the police station to ask for help finding the money missing. 

After a short while, the two kind-hearted passers-by were able to hand the missing cash to a very relieved Li.
