Old man paints murals to fight the ad men
A 69-year-old man from Jilin city in Jilin Province created traditional Chinese murals on walls in his residential complex as a way to combat spam advertising.
The old man, Wu Jiren, put his painting skills to use creating the artworks after locals had trouble removing the illegal advertisements that would pop up on the walls each night.
The elaborate-style traditional Chinese paintings have been embraced by the area's residents, who are hoping that the flower and fish murals will keep the advertisers at bay.
Wu has already spent a month painting the two walls, covering an area of around 68 square meters.
