Deliveryman caught on camera eating food from a parcel

A deliveryman from ZTO Express in Nanchang, capital of Jiangxi Province, was caught on a security video on November 12 stealthily hiding a parcel and eating food packaged inside.

As the video showed, the man surnamed Xie took away one of the parcels in the delivery warehouse and hid behind stacks of parcels. The inspector at the warehouse reported to the police after discovering the situation and asked Xie what he was doing.

The 17-year-old allegedly admitted he was eating seasoned duck in the package when police questioned him about the matter. Xie planned to take the remains home after work, according to Guo Liang, deputy director from the local police station.

According to the initial investigation, it was not the first time Xie has done this. He had stolen several oranges from a parcel just two days before the incident. The local police decided to detain Xie for five days without carrying it out considering he was under 18 and told Xie’s parents to strengthen discipline on him.
