Female driver stops car to help man on crutches cross road

A female driver from Taizhou stopped her car in front of a zebra crossing and helped a man on crutches cross the street when she realized he had difficulty walking.

A female driver from Taizhou City in Zhejiang Province stopped her car in front of a zebra crossing and helped a man on crutches cross a street after she realized he had difficulty walking.

As security video showed, a woman driving a white SUV stopped her car in the middle of the street and then drove away after helping the man cross the street.

The man didn’t have enough time to get across the street before the crossing light turned red. The woman offered to carry him on her back at first but the man declined, according to a traffic policeman from Linhai Public Security Bureau surnamed Wang.

Wang noted that pedestrians still have priority to cross if the traffic light changes while they're still crossing. The female driver didn’t violate traffic laws when she parked in front of the zebra crossing to help the man, he added.
