Glass panels on reversing truck collapse on worker

A worker in Foshan, Guangdong Province was injured after glass panels loaded on a truck collapsed on him during the process of reversing, and the whole shocking accident was caught on camera.

The incident happened in Shunde District on Monday when glass on the back of the truck suddenly collapsed, hitting the worker who was standing beside the load on the back of the truck.

The man was soon buried under the shattered pieces as he fell to the ground.

Nearby residents came to check the situation after hearing the loud noise of glass shattering and called police. 

The man was rushed to hospital where he is recovering and in a stable condition.

The local administration of work safety said he wasn't seriously injured in the incident, which has been classed as a traffic accident caused by improper operation by the truck driver.

Further investigation is ongoing.
