Food delivery guy rescues poisoned restaurant staffer
A deliveryman from Meituan, one of China’s major food delivery platforms, rescued a gas-poisoned restaurant staffer on his way to pick up a delivery on December 26, according to The Paper.
As security video showed, the deliveryman dragged the staff member outdoors, as well as five gas tanks, as soon as he arrived at the restaurant and smelt the danger around 9:18am in Tai’an of Shandong Province.
The staffer, who had been breathing in the poisonous gas, was out of danger thanks to timely treatment.
Meituan said on its official Weibo account on December 29 that they had awarded the deliveryman, Sheng Wenfei, with a banner and a 1,000 yuan (US$154) bonus to encourage such kind acts among its staff.
