Police officers receive hot milk tea from stranger
Two auxiliary police officers in Dujiangyan, Sichuan Province received a delivery of hot milk tea from a stranger while they were on duty in the bitter cold on January 6, Thecover.cn reported.
The two officers, Gao Jing and Jin Lin, were at first confused when a food courier approached them. But when they saw the note on the order they were greatly touched.
"Please deliver these to the two female traffic police officers in the cold wind. Make sure it's hot! Make sure it's hot! I don't know their names or telephone numbers. Please send me a message after you deliver the drinks to them. Thanks."
When they finally had time to drink the milk tea during a short break, the two cups had already slightly cooled, but Gao and Jin still felt the warmth of the kind action. "I was very happy, it was so sweet," one of them said.
The kind stranger who ordered the drinks was a 24-year-old man named Gao Wenjiong. He works in a local cake shop.
He said he happened to see the two policewomen rubbing their hands and stamping their feet to keep warm, so he ordered hot milk tea for them. "I just did what I could — it was just a small thing," he added.
