A kid in Zhangjiagang was run over by a reversing car when he was playing alone with a ball on January 1, Knews reported.

In the footage, the car can be seen hitting and running over the kid in yellow who happened to squat down to pick up his ball. The kid's mother soon showed up and held him in her arms.

The driver said he failed to see the boy who squatted down and meanwhile the reversing radar of his car didn't sound an alarm as well.

A repairman explained that reversing radar also has blind spots.

Luckily, the kid wasn't severely injured in the incident and compensation is still under negotiation.
