Granny donates instant noodles to earthquake victims
A granny in Taiwan who makes a living recycling waste touched the hearts of netizens for donating instant noodles to earthquake victims, Knews reported.
A 6.5-magnitude quake hit Taiwan’s Hualien County just before midnight on February 6, causing heavy casualties and extensive damage. So far, 17 people have been confirmed dead and 280 injured.
A Taichung restaurant owner who helped collect disaster relief supplies provided by the public said a granny who earned a living by collecting waste for recycling came and donated two boxes of instant noodles last Thursday night.
He was moved by the granny who herself lives it rough. He posted the footage of the granny’s act online which soon caught the attention of web users.
Netizens applauded the granny for her benevolence as someone commented, "Thumbs up for the granny — her act warmed a lot of hearts."
