Urban management officer climbs tree to save trapped cat
A chengguan, or urban management officer, in Kunming, Yunnan Province, climbed a tree to save a trapped cat on February 6, according to Yunnan TV.
The cat was stuck about three stories above the ground.
Its constant crying attracted the warm-hearted official, surnamed Li, who said he felt sorry for the cat. So he climbed the tree to try and help it down.
Because of the thin branches, he couldn't approach it. Some onlookers below held a bed sheet to serve as a cushion for the cat to fall on.
Li shook the branches violently, and the cat lost its hold on the branch and then fell on the sheet before running away unharmed.
