Firefighter saves dog trapped in freezing river

As the video shows a firefighter crawled all the way on the ice of a frozen river to reach and rescue a dog who fell into the river through cracking ice, Chinese netizens applauded for the firefighter.

The incident happened in Xi'an, Shaanxi Province, on February 7, according to Pear Video.

When the dog was struggling in bone-chilling water, the firefighter noticed it and acted quickly to its rescue.

The ice suddenly cracked and caved in. The firefighter dropped down into the icy water.

He stayed calm under as he pulled the dog out first and then climbed out of water himself.
