A security guard at a primary school in Hangzhou has become the latest Internet sensation after he was made a calligraphy teacher due to his good handwriting, Knews reported.

Hu Luxi, from Henan Province, once dreamed of being a teacher, but in the end he joined the army when he graduated from high school.

He was hired as a security guard at Hangzhou Binhe Primary School in the city's Binjiang District last year.

In September, he wrote a note to a deputy headmaster, Tian Yanfang, asking for leave as he planned to take his son to university back in his hometown.

His "vigorous and forceful" handwriting deeply impressed Tian, who soon offered him a new role on top of his other duties.

Hu jumped at the chance and began teaching calligraphy at the school. His "conscientious and responsible attitude" in class has won the admiration of his students.

Chinese netizens gave their "thumbs up" to the skilled security guard and many also praised the deputy headmaster for discovering his talent.
