Drivers help collect fruit from overturned truck on expressway

Drivers passing through the Hangzhou-Anhui Expressway on April 30 joined hands to help collect fruit that had fallen from an overturned truck, The Beijing News reported.

Drivers passing through the Hangzhou-Anhui Expressway on April 30 joined hands to help collect fruit that had fallen from an overturned truck, The Beijing News reported.

All of the scattered fruit was cleared up in a little more than an hour, two-thirds of which was still in good condition.

According to a local traffic policeman, the truck driver surnamed Yan packed the fruit in Hangzhou's Gouzhuang Town that morning and planned to sell it in the city's Changhua Town.

But the truck overturned on a section of highway about 13 kilometers from Anhui Province due to loose bundling.

As security footage showed, quite a few drivers following the truck got out of their cars to help out.

The crowd moved the fruit to a safe area by the side of the road to make way for other vehicles to pass through.
