Car lover buried in old Hyundai after death

Have you ever seen someone using a car as a coffin?

One car lover in north China made such a request in his final will — his family fulfilled his wishes on May 28 after he passed away, The Beijing News reported.

The man, surnamed Qi, was a villager of Baoding's Xushui District in Hebei Province.

He loved cars so much that he stated in his final will that he wanted to be buried in his own vehicle after death, as opposed to using a traditional coffin.

Footage of his funeral shows a silver car containing his body being slowly lowered into the grave by an excavator.

According to Knews, the car, an old Hyundai Sonata, valued at around 10,000 yuan (US$1,559), will become his final resting place.
