A man from east China’s Zhejiang Province has been fined 1,300 yuan (US$203) for carrying a car on the back of his motorized tricycle.

As footage shot by a fellow motorist showed, the man rode the tricycle along a road with a black car loaded on its back trailer in Huzhou city on May 30. Passing vehicles had to give way as the car body occupied almost one and a half lanes.

According to the investigation carried out by local traffic police, the man, surnamed Shen, bought the car for 800 yuan and was transporting it to a scrap yard.

On top of the fine he received, Shen had nine points deducted from his license.
