Two more fugitives caught during pop star Jacky Cheung's concert
Two escaped criminals have been captured during Hong Kong pop star Jacky Cheung’s concert held on June 9 in Jinhua City of east China’s Zhejiang Province, the local public security bureau announced on its Weibo account.
It is the fourth time that fugitives have been caught during the pop icon's concert tour. Similar plots happened in Nanchang on April 7, in Ganzhou on May 5 and in Jiaxing on May 20.
Netizens joked that the true identity of Jacky Cheung might be an undercover cop.
According to Jinhua police, one of the fugitives, a 49-year-old surnamed Ma, was listed as wanted by Shanghai police for alleged theft.
Ma was caught on the scene by police when he was touting a concert ticket. Ma, a self-acclaimed fan of Jacky Cheung, told police that he would have watched the concert himself if he failed to sell the ticket.
Local police said they caught another fugitive, surnamed Zheng, who was wanted by Fujian police for the alleged crime of forging official documents.
