A fugitive was caught by police at a lottery store in east China while waiting to buy World Cup lottery tickets on June 20.

The man, surnamed Zhang, had visited the shop in Wuhu of Anhui Province for a few days in a row to purchase tickets since the World Cup began.

Local police received a tip-off and waited for Zhang to appear, taking him into custody after his identity was verified.

Zhang has been listed online as wanted by police since March this year for the crime of refusing to pay labor remuneration.
