The photos were posted on WeChat by the woman, surnamed Guo, from Zhengzhou, capital of central China’s Henan Province.

The old man in the photos is her 65-year-old father who suffered cerebral hemorrhage 20 years ago and has been sick ever since.

Guo said the disease has influenced her father’s language ability, behavior and intelligence. Her father acted like a child and asked for a lollipop when the family went for a walk in the park on July 2.

She thought it was funny at first, but then felt sad on second thought when the man she once relied on needed to instead be looked after. Guo said her father took her to the same park almost every day when she was a kid.

Guo’s mother suffered cerebral infarction about 10 years ago. As she is the only child in the family, she shoulders the responsibility to care for her parents. Guo hopes time will flow more slowly and her father can stay with her as long as possible.
