The young man performed CPR on the old man, which helped him gradually regain consciousness.

When an ambulance arrived, the young man explained the man's condition to medical staff before leaving the scene.

A resident nearby wrote down his contact information, which later helped the old man's relatives learn his identity.

The young man, Wu Hao, is a doctor from Foshan, Guangdong Province. He was on holiday in the area at the time.

To express their gratitude to him, the old man's grandson, surnamed You, wrote a thank-you letter to Wu's hospital online, in which he explained the incident and thanked Wu for saving his grandpa's life.
