A Metro station kiss that touched the nation

A touching moment happened at a Metro station in Xi'an, Shaanxi Province, on August 2, Xinhua news agency reported.

A 3-year-old boy who missed his mother braved the scorching sun at noon and arrived at the Tonghuamen Station to give his mother, who was busy working there, a little kiss.

His mother is the duty station master and she is required to stay at her post from 8am to 8pm.

"Mom, I won't disturb your work," the thoughtful boy said when he approached his mother. "I will leave after giving you a kiss."

Footage of the incident was shared on Weibo by Xinhuanet on August 5 and soon received almost 50,000 likes from Chinese netizens.

"What a good boy. His simple actions melted my heart," someone commented.

"I give kudos to every parent who works so hard to support their families," another added.
