Xu Liang, 36, who is from Taizhou city of Jiangsu Province and was once a firefighter, has been widely applauded by netizens after his brother-in-law, surnamed Qiu, posted his heroic act on WeChat.

Qiu noticed a boy about 4 or 5 years old fall into a pond while fishing at around noon while he was touring the scenic area with his family in the city’s Mulan Tianchi Scenic Area.
