Boy makes narrow escape from falling debris

A boy from Bengbu in Anhui Province made a narrow escape as part of a wall in a residential building suddenly fell and almost hit him on August 19, thepaper.cn reported.

As security video showed, some small pieces of debris fell down first, followed by huge chunks. The boy, who was playing below, ran away with both hands covering his head, just seconds before some huge pieces of debris hit the ground behind him.

Some other residents who were chatting in the shade outside the building also made a quick escape, the report said.

Residents said they were shocked about the incident since construction on the building was only completed about five years ago.
