Auxiliary police officer helps falling elderly man

An auxiliary police officer in Ningbo of east China’s Zhejiang Province rushed to help support a man in his 70s who fell over when crossing a road during rainy weather, thepaper.cn reported.

As street security video from the August 26 incident showed, the auxiliary police officer on duty ran to help the old man as soon as he noticed the situation. The policeman also put a rain cape over the old man to protect him from the rain with the help of two other pedestrians who held an umbrella up for the man.

They walked the man all the way to a supermarket where he happened to see some family members. The policeman then returned to his post.
