Villagers rally to save boy who fell into pond

Villagers in Hangzhou, Zhejiang Province, rallied to save a boy who accidentally fell into a 5-meter-deep pond recently.

Villagers in Hangzhou, Zhejiang Province, rallied to save a boy who accidentally fell into a 5-meter-deep pond recently, Xinhua news agency reported on Wednesday.

The boy suddenly slipped into the water when he was playing at the side of the pond.

After realizing the situation, a teenager tried to pull him to safety using a bamboo stick but failed.

Then two villagers jumped into the water and pulled him to shore before another villager performed CPR on the boy.

Thanks to their timely rescue, the boy wasn't seriously injured in the incident and will make a full recovery.
