Driver punished after tying 2 live ducks to top of car

Police warn drivers bringing back local specialties from their hometowns after the Spring Festival that safe driving is always the first priority.

A driver was fined for fastening two live ducks to the top of his car while driving along a highway in Yiyang City of central China’s Hunan Province, thepaper.cn reported, citing the city’s highway police.

Traffic police found the car driving in an emergency vehicle lane in a non-emergency situation, the report said. Police criticized the driver and fined them over the ducks.

Police have had to remind motorists bringing back local specialties from their hometowns after the Spring Festival that safe driving is always the first priority.
