A cardiologist in Xi'an has become an Internet star after using his musical talents to teach a lesson in electrocardiography.

A video of a doctor in Xi’an, capital of Shaanxi Province, playing guitar for his students has gone viral online, thepaper.cn reported.
In a widely circulated clip, Fan Boyuan, a cardiologist from the Second Hospital Affiliated to Xi'an Jiaotong University, is seen performing a song he composed to help his students better comprehend a lesson in electrocardiography (ECG).
Fan said ECG theory can be too abstract for some to grasp. Using his musical talent, he devised a song intended to make his lesson more accessible.
Fan said he never expected his melody would go viral, as it was merely meant as an innovative teaching tool.
