A father-to-be won warm praise and applause from Chinese netizens after a video of him dancing in a delivery room to ease his wife’s pain and nervousness went viral.

The husband, a dance teacher, wearing medical scrubs, a hat and shoe covers, danced skillfully in the labor room of Hainan Modern Women and Children’s Hospital on June 27 as his wife went into labor in order to sooth her and ease her pain.

The wife, a first-time mother-to-be, was amused by her husband’s impromptu performance, a hospital official surnamed Luo told the news portal btime.com.

A medical staffer took the video and uploaded it online.

The wife later delivered a 3.53-kilogram baby boy. Both are doing well.

Netizens said he must be a heart-warming father in the future.
