A tire store owner stopped a rolling truck and saved the driver’s life in China’s Jiangsu Province on August 4.

The truck started to roll backwards after the driver lost control of his brake. The driver tried to stop the truck from behind, but his effort was in vein.

The tire store owner, surnamed Zhang, quickly

put an iron chair underneath the truck to slow it down.

The truck was eventually stopped after it hit the tires.

The truck driver wanted to pay Zhang cash as a thank you, but was refused. Zhang, a former soldier, said it’s his obligation to help.
