Sixty elephants were forced to join a traditional Buddhist parade recently in Sri Lanka.

An animal protection organization said that the elephants are being abused.

They have to work for long hours and their eyes suffer strong lights from the festival.

The organization said the basic spirit of Buddhism is love and peace so certain animal abuse behavior is not acceptable.
