Xie Xuejin, 28, a male nurse from Xiamen, just celebrated his 28th birthday in Wuhan with his fellow medics.
He said the most special gift he received was a 500ml bottle of ethyl alcohol which he says symbolizes that they will win the fight against the coronavirus.
