Traditional Villages on the Edge

So much of China’s rich history is tied up in thousands of villages across the country ─ villages with often distinctive structures and cultures. Many have been lost to modernization, but new efforts are afoot to try to preserve the best of the old villages. This series visits some of those villages and explores their 21st century renaissance.
