Store appearance for 'Shadow' star

Mainland actor Zheng Kai, known for comedy film “Ex-Files” and coming-of age movie “Fleet of Time,” was at a special pop-up store to promote the Emporio Armani Digital Capsule Collection at Jing An Kerry Center on September 29.

Zheng is now starring in celebrated filmmaker Zhang Yimou’s latest offering “Shadow.” 

Earlier this year, the film was selected for the 75th Venice International Film Festival and the 43rd Toronto International Film Festival.

Zheng plays an ancient emperor involved in intrigue in the martial arts movie.

“It is a brand new challenge for me as the character is totally different from all my previous attempts on screen,” said Zheng.
