Chen Xuedong says he received special music training to star in "So Young."
Filming for urban drama “So Young,” a follow-up to the acclaimed 2007 series “Struggle,” is underway in the city.
Starring Chen Xuedong and Huang Tingting, the series is centered on the dreams, careers and emotions of the urban post-90s generation.
It also features the revival of traditional Chinese music and how the art is recognized by international audiences.
Chen said that he received special training in musical instruments and performance to portray the character.
In addition to its Shanghai backdrop, the series will also shoot scenes in Prague and Salzburg.
Huang Tingting stars in the forthcoming "So Young."
