Celebrated filmmaker Ang Lee’s latest offering “Gemini Man” got its national release last Friday.

Starring Will Smith and Mary Elizabeth Winstead, the film revolves around an agent who finds himself being chased and threatened by a younger clone of himself.

Shot in 3D at 4K resolution and 120 frames per second, the film features CG technology to depict the fighting scenes between the protagonist and his clone killer.

The film is now available in RealD LUXE and IMAX versions to offer impressive performance in image, color and sound. The avant-garde technical progress of theaters will provide movie buffs with an immersive viewing experience.

Shanghai Film Distribution and Exhibition Association also held a film workshop on the technology and cinematography of the movie.

Local film expert Zhu Jue demonstrated how the world cinema has been influenced and impelled by technological innovation over the passing decades.
