Campaign seeks city's best grassroots social projects

Shanghai's civil affairs authorities are looking for outstanding social governance projects from the grassroots level in a campaign which kicked off on Friday. People can submit their projects and the best will be recognized and promoted throughout the city, according to the Shanghai Civil Affairs Bureau.

Projects covering innovative measures, mechanisms, experience and practices in a wide range of areas such as prevention of the COVID-19 pandemic, environmental protection, community services and garbage sorting are welcome for submission, the bureau said. 

The campaign aims to enhance the social governance capabilities of communities in the city and share good practices in these areas, the bureau said. 

Submission can be made on the WeChat account "Shanghai Shehui Zhili Chuangxin Zhanshi" (Shanghai social governance innovation display).

The deadline for application is June 10 and the final results will be announced in September, according to the bureau.
