Import expo traffic restrictions announced

Traffic restrictions will be in place around the National Exhibition and Convention Center for next month’s China International Import Expo, Shanghai police said on Thursday.

From 6am to 9pm from November 4 to 10, the area surrounded by Songze Avenue, Panlong Road, Yinggang Road E., Zhuguang Road, Huizhuo Road and Huaxiang Road will be closed to all motor vehicles except buses, taxis and cars that possess permits to enter the area.

Only Songze Avenue will be accessible during these hours.

At the same time, all trucks and motorcycles will be banned from a larger area surrounded by Huqingping Highway, Huaxu Highway, Tianshan Road W. and Huaxiang Road.

This year’s expo is from November 5 to 10.
