Erhai Lake in Yunnan attracts PR pro

How often do you travel? Twice a year.

Objective of travel: To relax and escape from working pressure; to enhance affection with family members.

Favorite traveling style: Leisure.

When I finish a journey, I always share travel experience with friends and on social media, to recommend hotels, restaurants, shops and other travel tips to friends who are going there, and start to think about my next destination.

How many destinations have you already been? More than eight.

What does traveling mean to you in your life? To broaden horizons, reduce pressures, a necessary way to make life colorful and dynamic.

Do you prefer to travel alone or with family/friends? With family/friends.

Q: What kind of hotel will you choose to stay during a trip?

A: Resort or inn.

Q: What do you value most when choosing a hotel?

A: Cost, performance and comfort.

Q: What facility or service do you think is necessary during a hotel stay?

A: Internet connection, swimming pool, bathtub.

Q: What do you expect most of a hotel for an enjoyable stay?

A: A perfect breakfast and a sweet sleep.

Q: What do you usually do in a hotel during your stay apart from resting in your room?

A: Have a drink or afternoon-tea, swim.

Q: Share with us an unforgettable stay in a hotel.

A: One summer vacation I traveled to Sanya with my family, staying at the Sanya Marriott. Upon arrival, the hotel staff wore beautiful garlands and passed hot tea of Hainan Ku Ding flavor to us, with smiles like sunshine on their faces. That is the warmest greeting I’ve ever received during a stay at a hotel.

Q: Any hotels you look forward to staying at in the future?

A: W Hotel.

Q: Where is your favorite destination and why?

A: Shuanglang in Yunnan Province. I went there to explore the calm and scenery on my own.

Q: What’s so special about it?

A: The real relaxation and calm that help you adjust state of mind.

Q: Anything you love to do when going to Shuanglang?

A: Staying at a small but home-like inn, having a cup of tea on the cane chair in the lobby and talking with people from different cities and countries.

Q: What do you do upon arriving Shuanglang?

A: Stroll along the lake.

Q: Any places you have to visit or things you have seen when visiting Shuanglang?

A: Small Putuo Temple; riding along Erhai Lake.

Q: Any local specialties you have to  try?

A: Fried dairy fan, a kind of special food made of milk and shaped like a fan.

Q: Share with us an unforgettable experience during your trip to Shuanglang?

A: We rented bikes and planned to ride along Erhai Lake to Small Putuo Temple, and got caught in a rainstorm halfway there. We saw the thunder cross just over our heads. We kept up and finally reached the destination. Being soaked and exhausted, we had to rent a minibus to return to the inn, together with the bikes.
