Gripes over ride booking
MORE than 10 percent of all complaints against ride hailing and taxi services in the first half of this year were related to online bookings, said city’s traffic authority over the weekend.
The authority received 4,150 calls regarding online ride hailing, among which 70 percent of complaints were directed against Didi Chuxing. Almost every complaint against the company was addressed, according to officials.
Meituan Dianping, Shouqi Limousine & Chauffeur and UCAR Inc each responded to less than 80 percent of complaints.
Most complaints were about drivers who didn’t show up, drivers who dropped off passengers before reaching their destination and arbitrary charges.
