Cycling Carnival in Shanghai

THE 2017 Skoda Heros China Cycling Series Carnival was held at Shanghai International Circuit in suburban Jiading District on October 2.

Over 1,000 cyclists from around the country competed in six categories of competitions — Elite Group, U25, U35, Student Race, Masters and Women’s Race. The event also served as the final of this year’s Tour Shanghai series.

The carnival also invited locals and amateur cyclists to experience cycling along the 5.4-kilometer route at the circuit, attracting over 10,000 participants and spectators. The youngest participant was aged just two.

It was announced at the carnival that the Heros cycling series will be managed by Shanghai Hongjing Sports Development and Management Company in the future. The new organizer will put more effort on youth training and offline store experience to spread cycling culture to more people.
