Karen Mok to kick off world tour in Shanghai

SINGER, musician, actress, producer and philanthropist Karen Joy Morris, better known as Karen Mok or Mok Man-wai, is returning to Shanghai on her world tour.

Born in Hong Kong of Welsh, Chinese and Persian descent, Mok has enjoyed phenomenal success in Asia since she released her first album in 1993.

This multi-talented diva has released more than 30 albums, including “Karen,” “To Be,” “I Say,” “This Is Karen Mok,” “Precious” and “Somewhere I Belong.”

The albums included classic and catchy songs like “Love Yourself,” “He Loves Me Not,” “Radio Love Songs,” “Without You,” “Suddenly” and “Fruits of Mid Summer.” With her rich and sensual voice, many of Mok’s songs fully express the complicated and interwined feelings of love and relationships.

Mok has also starred in more than 40 movies, including “Shaolin Soccer,” one of the hightest-grossing films in Hong Kong, “Fallen Angels” and “The God of Cookery.”

In celebration of the 25th anniversary of her debut in 1993, Mok chose Shanghai as the first stop of her world tour and promised to hold over 50 concerts across the world in 18 months.
