A 10-year-old boy in Ningbo, Zhejiang Province, jumped into a washing machine when playing hide-and-seek. But his mates turned the machine on and ran away, trapping him.

Fortunately, the washing machine stopped working immediately because his weight unbalanced the tumbler. His grandmother, nearby, heard his cries and found him stuck and incapable of moving his legs to get out.

Firemen soon arrived and recued the boy after about 20 minutes, by dismantling the rollers.

The boy was not seriously injured, said medical staff who treated him at the site.
