Pudong Campus fosters internationally minded students

YEW Chung International School in Pudong offers an international education to more than 750 students from early childhood through secondary school.

Our pioneering and specially developed Early Childhood Education (ECE) Program focuses on nurturing the holistic development of the child's abilities and potential through play and sensory enrichment.

The framework for YCIS Shanghai's unique international curriculum is the research-based National Curriculum for England. Year after year, our international curriculum successfully fosters a transformation in students whereby they become internationally minded, and this success is reflected in the nature of our student population of more than 40 different nationalities.

In both the ECE and Primary Programs, the emphasis is on integrating Eastern and Western cultures. Each class is staffed by a fully qualified Western and Chinese teacher who work as "co-teachers" in the classroom. This feature enhances how we educate students in two major world languages, English and Chinese.

Our upper primary and secondary students are located at our Century Park Campus. Recent refurbishments to the campus have created a beautiful and modern educational facility.

The upper secondary curriculum presently offers a variety of subjects and includes the International General Certificate of Secondary Education (IGCSE) at Year 10 and 11.

Students will continue into Year 12 and 13 with the implementation of the International Baccalaureate Diploma Program (IBDP) over the next two years. A variety of sporting, extra-curricular and other cultural activities are also offered, and our sport teams regularly participate in events and competitions with other international schools.

Our campuses, all located near the heart of Pudong, are well-resourced and offer a safe, state-of-the-art international education aimed at educating the "whole child."

Please visit us - we'd be delighted to provide you with more information as well as a campus tour.
